HOPI RESERVATION

I have been ignited by the energy of the Hopi Reservation.

We live in many landscapes — mental, emotional, physical and imaginary ones. In our multidimensional ones too. My visit this month to the Hopi Nation (and Sedona) in Arizona took me to a landscape I have been ‘circling’ for years.

If we have lived many lives — as many of us have — we can have many landscapes to ‘revisit’. I’m a born and bred Londoner, and Dorset has been a powerful home and revisited landscape for me. France, too — yet to fully unfold. But America … I felt ‘at home’ the first time I visited Arizona in my late 20s — horse riding on the ancestral lands of the Apache. I returned a couple of years after, for significant events, pulled to Arizona again and again, taking my son on a road trip, too. Circling, circling … where this week I landed.

To visit the Hopi Reservation requires an official Hopi guide. We did not visit the Mesas or villages of the Hopi People, but instead I was nudged — or pulled — to visit sacred sites and energies, which our guide took us to, 4 in total, including ancient petroglyphs left by Hopi ancestors. As we stepped upon and into this sacred land — profound and powerful beyond anything I have experienced before — my world tilted on its axis.

We were permitted to take photos of the Land, some of which I share on my Instagram page (photos or drawings are not permitted of the Hopi People or villages). Of course they only touch on the depth and terrain of our visit, but perhaps sharing is important at this time when the protection of ancestral land in America is being rapidly ‘removed’.

Normally, I would write an ‘energy report’ following a visit to a place such as this. Here, I cannot. Because it is, simply, too precious; my experience is still unfolding; and most importantly, it is not my Land or place to do so.

We all live on sacred land — wherever we are — if we respect and honour it. If we allow it and ourselves to be. To become of it. When we do this, the land radiates far beyond ‘normal’ understanding. It is — and returns to being — multidimensional.

And we realise all our Lands are interconnected. Just as we are, too.

With blessings of peace for all Land on Earth.

Love,

Delilah
